Непосредственно визуальная новелла «5.01» представляет собой отрезок жизни Кевина Грея. Кевин (главный герой) молодой и потерянный человек. В его прошлом слишком много тайн, которые преследуют его и не дают жить дальше. Из-за этого Кевин впадает в депрессию и пытается покончить жизнь самоубийством. Но у судьбы на него другие планы. После провальной попытки самоубийства Кевина начинают преследовать зрительные и слуховые галлюцинации. После чего главный герой вынужден забыть о своей депрессии и понять, что с ним происходит. Для этого Кевину необходимо познакомится с остальными обитателями пансиона и узнать у них, видят ли они то, что видит он.

Directly visual novel «5.01» represents a segment of Kevin Gray's life. Kevin (the main character) is a young and lost man. There are too many secrets in his past that haunt him and doesn't let him go on living. Because of this, Kevin becomes depressed and tries to commit suicide. But fate has other plans for him. After a failed suicide attempt, Kevin begins to be haunted by visual and auditory hallucinations. After which, the protagonist is forced to forget about his depression and understand what is happening to him. To do this, Kevin needs to meet the other residents of the boarding house and find out from them if they see what he sees.
